When I was six I wanted to be seventeen. I am the girl who is always thinking ahead and encouraged by others to slow down. But I don’t think I’ll ever stop planning completely. It’s not my style. So I’ll run, and keep running, toward the experiences I haven’t yet had. I’ll keep running to the person I want to be, and to the goals I’ve set up for my life. My friends and family often laugh because I don’t think life is long enough to do everything I want to do and try.

I am a teacher of many sorts. My passion has always been photography, I think since the day my mom invested in a 110, roll the dial, film camera. But somewhere in between the polaroids and the pro Nikon camera I also found a love in teaching science to high school kids, being a mommy, loving my husband, and fostering relationships with fab friends (all in no particular order). My home in Texas is filled with laughter, kisses, lemonade, chocolate, and photographs, lots of photographs…..

Photography for me is more than just a hobby. It is a way to capture the essence of who people are, how they feel, emotions, details, stories, and passions. I like to think of it as bringing a little sweetness and beauty to the world. If you are like me you like hip, trendy, modern, have a unique style and taste, but ultimately you love life and authenticity. I love to be present.
